Jinhai Xinyuan has confirmed that it has received the advance payment of RURAL ELECTRICATION AND RENEWABLE ENERGY CORPORATION (REREC) for the Kenya microgrid project on July 9.

In October 2019, Jinhai Xinyuan successfully won the bid for the Kenya Electricity Modernization Project (KEMP). After receiving the "Notice of Winning Bid", the company has issued a performance guarantee and an advance payment guarantee in time, and signed a formal EPC contract with REREC. The project is currently progressing smoothly. The contract includes a total of 7 micro power plants.

Kenya is the largest country in East Africa and one of the countries with a better economic foundation in sub-Saharan Africa. In May 2017, China-Kenya relations were upgraded to a comprehensive strategic partnership, and the two countries’ economy and trade have been deeply integrated: China is Kenya’s largest trading partner, the largest source country of engineering contractors, and the largest loan provider. Cooperation in all fields is at the forefront of China-Africa cooperation. Kenya has become an important fulcrum of China's "Belt and Road" initiative in Africa.

Jinhai Xinyuan combined Kenya's local climate environment and geological influence factors to provide a rigorous design plan for the project. In order to improve the quality of the power station, Jinhai Xinyuan provides photovoltaic support products that are reasonable in structure, can withstand sufficient load, and provide effective support for photovoltaic modules. In the long run, the improved performance and quality of the mounting bracket can enable the system to operate safely and reliably for 15 years, provide strong support for the safe operation of the project, and ensure the maximum investment benefits for customers.
